We’re joining @EqualPay2dayOrg & countless others (+YOU?) to support #EqualPay for Black women. We — women — can #DemandMore at work, as a consumer, and at the ballot box. Far from a celebration, Black Women’s Equal Pay Day reveals the date on which the average earnings of Black women in this country finally catch up to the average earnings of White men last year.

This inequity is longstanding, but we can speak out. This year, Ohio Unity Coalition is joining efforts with organizations across the country to raise awareness of this injustice by participating in a Twitter Storm from 2:00-3:00 PM ET on Tuesday, Aug. 7.

Tweet with us using the hashtags #BlackWomensEqualPay #DemandMore and #EqualPay to get these topics trending, deploy information for millions to see, and help move this cause forward.
