Know Your Rights:
Voting After a Felony
Conviction in Ohio

The Ohio Unity Coalition is committed to ensuring all eligible voters can exercise their right to vote. We want to clarify an important point: In most cases, voting after a felony conviction is possible!

  • You can vote if you are not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction.
  • Your voting rights are automatically restored upon release from incarceration.
  • You must re-register to vote after your release.
