Hey Ohio, let’s get serious — November 3rd is coming whether we’re ready or not. And we already know what happens when we sit out: decisions get made for us instead of by us. Not this time.
2026 Midterm Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Mark it, set the alarm, tell your people. This is our moment to show up loud and show up ready — ready to vote for your Governor, your U.S. Senator, your Attorney General, and more.
Here’s who’s on the ballot for Ohio’s top statewide races:
- U.S. Senate: Sherrod Brown (D) vs. Jon Husted (R)
- Governor: Dr. Amy Acton (D) vs. Vivek Ramaswamy (R)
- Attorney General: John Kulewicz (D) vs. Keith Faber (R)
- Secretary of State: Allison Russo (D) vs. Robert Sprague (R)
- State Auditor: Annette Blackwell (D) vs. Frank LaRose (R)
- State Treasurer: Seth Walsh (D) vs. Jay Edwards (R)
These are just the statewide races — your ballot will also have local and congressional races that shape your everyday life just as much. Know who’s running before you get to the polls.
First things first — check your registration
A lot of folks think they’re registered and find out on Election Day that something’s off. Maybe you moved and have a new address, or your name changed, or worst, you got purged from the voter rolls and did not get the notification. Don’t let that be your story. Take two minutes right now and lock it in — confirm your registration and find your polling place while you’re at it.
That’s it. Two minutes. Your voice, your power, your future — but only if your name and correct address is on that list.
And once you’re squared away, don’t keep it to yourself. Pull up your mama, your cousin, your neighbor on the porch. Send them the link. Make sure your whole circle is locked in, because our power multiplies when we move together.
Now level up — build your Block
Everybody’s got that person. The one who knows everybody, who people trust, who’s already looking out — checking in on folks, putting people onto opportunities, keeping the group chat alive. If that’s you, we need to talk.
Plain and simple: a Block Leader is someone who reaches out to their own family, friends, and neighbors, makes sure they’re registered, and keeps them informed and ready to vote — election after election. You’re not knocking on strangers’ doors. You’re making sure your own circle shows up.
Who's in your Block:
- Family, friends, neighbors, your day-ones — people already in your phone
- Anyone 18 and up, any background — intergenerational blocks hit different
- Unregistered voters and folks who haven’t voted in a minute? These people are exactly who you’re looking for!
How you make the ask:
- Host a low-key hangout before you ask anything official — food, music, good conversation. Let them feel the vibe first
- Reconnect over coffee if it’s been a minute
- Reach out one-on-one — a call, a text, whatever’s natural for y’all. Never a mass text or a forwarded flyer — make it personal, and lead with the relationship, not the pitch
Once your people say yes:
- Start a group chat as your home base
- Throw a kickoff gathering so everybody meets everybody — not just you
- Keep it going with real touchpoints: Sunday dinner, a barbershop or beauty shop conversation, a virtual game night, whatever fits real life
- Check registration together using Ohio Unity’s QR code and website tools — a group thing, not a lecture from you
One friend, one neighbor, one community at a time. That's the whole model.
This is bigger than one form
This is about who’s making the calls on your schools, your streets, your job, your healthcare. We prepare. We participate. We protect our vote. That’s the whole game plan.
So do both: check yourself first, then start pulling your people in — one warm invite, one real relationship at a time, until your Block is locked in and ready together. That’s not just an election strategy. That’s how our community has always shown up and won.
